Failon Ngayon - Filipino Media Hates Gaming

I found this video on Facebook and want to share it here. I'd like to know the reactions of fellow gamers out there specially the filipinos.

This report of ABS-CBN shows only the negative effects of gaming to children and their families. They didn't even list any positive ones and this might result to a restriction of gaming on internet cafes during weekdays as said in the report.

As a gamer, I find this offensive. How is your reaction on this. I'd like to know.

How to reduce lag and delay in Dota 2

Dota 2 Logo claotech.blogspot.com
So you came here searching for tips on how to lower the lag and delay in Dota 2 right? You can't play like you normally would if your ping is high! You will also get frustrated since your opponents have a great advantage over you and you might also become a burden to your allies as you don't participate in team plays well.

Well here's a simple tweak to make your gameplay smoother when you have a high ping.

If you're having a large percent of packet loss and your ping is unstable (e.g. Wireless Internet Connection), I recommend should apply this setting.

Set the NETWORK QUALITY to LOW. This will make the game noticeably smoother and will make your ping stable but it rarely makes it lower. You will feel less spikes in the game.

If you experience WORSE due to this setting, I suggest you revert back to HIGH settings.

That's all for today. I'll keep you posted if I get more tweaks for Dota 2!

Watch Free to Play, A Dota 2 Documentary film

Hi everyone! I just finished watching Free to Play, a documentary film featuring Hyhy (Benedict Lim), Dendi (Danil Ishutin) and Fear (Clinton Loomis) with their teams as they join the first Dota 2 International tournament. The film shows what life they have and the experiences that drive them to play Dota.

I recommend this film to everyone specially those who play Dota and other online competitive games.
